Virtual Power Plants (VPPs) have are an important resource for enhancing grid stability in Puerto Rico. With over 81,000 customers enrolled, LUMA's first VPP program - the Customer Battery Energy Sharing (CBES) program provides fast, distributed energy support during periods of resource inadequacy. The workshop will start with an overview of CBES, including performance during this Summer 2025 generation crisis. Then shift to facilitated breakout discussions to discuss solutions for growing the VPP in Puerto Rico and increasing enrollment, equity and customer engagement.
