The development of production of new devices in medical techniques is always directed to low numbers. Therefore – as an example – the development of a new rhinomanometer was intended. The aim was a device without cable connections. Also filters could be replaced by washable and sterilizable flow-sensors. The aerodynamic resistance of the device could be minimized in this way. The software of the former 4RHINO was adapted to the special needs. The intended use of the rhinomanometer could be expanded in particular to appliances in sleep medicine and allergology. The precondition for a rational production in higher numbers was the creation of a set of 6 pieces for the housing by stepwise and experimentally controlled 3D-print. An additional device for elastometric measurements can be connected. The new electronic allows in addition the measurement of analogue data.
