As more content creators use artificial intelligence to write copy, editors will be faced with its challenges more and more. While there are some obvious "tells" that something was written with AI, there are more subtle pitfalls that editors will run into. Problems such as inaccuracies, factual errors, sensitivity issues, and more will pop up and will need to be addressed. This hands-on workshop will give editors practice on how to identify sensitivity and inclusion problems in short-form and long-form content, and how to approach them. Attendees will brainstorm in groups how to properly address editorial problems when writers are focused on solving writing problems using AI solutions. Attendees will practice on provided AI generated content during the course of the workshop. Fiction and non-fiction editors of all disciplines are welcome.
