Last year, the Charles W. McDowell Center for the Blind turned 30! In those 30 years, so much has changed in blindness skills training for Kentuckians. Whether you are very familiar with the work of the McDowell Center or you’ve never heard of it before, join us as we talk about innovations and improvements to our Center program and how we continue blindness skills training for adults - both to achieve employment and independence in everyday life. Led by our Facility Administrator Heidi Kesterson, various staff will discuss our program, training areas, and what is new at McDowell Center. It’s a new era at McDowell and we’d love to tell you all about it.
