Have you ever wondered what tools your TVI colleagues use when conducting functional vision, learning media and expanded core curriculum assessments with students with visual impairments? Are you looking for ideas on how to fill the gaps in your own assessment kit? Join us to have a discussion with TVIs across the state to talk through the different components of the FVA, LMA, and ECC assessments. We will also discuss considerations across all student ages and demographics. To get the conversation started, a brief overview on the most recent assessment resources and research will be presented (5-10 minutes), with the majority of the session focused on open guided discussion among attendees to share and connect. The presenters will also bring a few of their favorite assessment items for show & tell. Come with questions and prepared to tell us about your favorite items in your kit! To promote an easy flow of discussion, the presenters will also take live notes which will be made available to attendees upon closure of the session.
