Drawing from her experience as a former 9-1-1 dispatcher, Cassie candidly shares her personal journey of recovery and the path she navigated toward healing. Cassie's narrative serves as an inspiring catalyst, encouraging others to craft their own well-thought-out strategies for coping and prioritizing self-care, thereby ensuring enduring, healthier careers and relationships. With a career spanning over 15 years in the industry, Cassie possesses a wealth of knowledge as a member of the peer support team, a supervisor, and a trainer. Her mission is to shed light on the process of healing and maintaining wellness. Learning Objectives: • Recognize the indicators and manifestations of trauma and stress from a first responder profession. • Attendees will formulate a strategy encompassing constructive coping techniques and their practical application in daily life, both within and outside of their professional roles. • Through an activity participants will be encouraged to assess their current life balance, understanding that each of us balance differently, and will gain insights to help tailor their approach into balancing their life moving forward.
