This presentation will include an intro to FIRST Robotics (sharing information about the elementary level: FIRST Lego League), a reflection on how STEM education shaped my life & goals, and some information on the Student Association for STEM Advocacy and SWENext. Also provided- an introduction to "Be That Engineer" Literacy Project, where women STEM professionals sign encouraging notes in girls-in-STEM books. Teachers can take books (ex. Mae Among the Stars & Rosie Revere Engineer) signed by women from companies like CAT/Lockheed for their students and sign a book themselves to commemorate the event!
