Finding time for science in K-5 classrooms can feel like searching for a lost sock in the dryer. Teachers know science matters, but between literacy blocks, math interventions, and everything else, it often slips away. This interactive session focuses on practical ways to make science fit into real classroom schedules. Participants will explore how science can be embedded into ELA and social studies instruction, along with short, high-impact routines that take just 10-15 minutes. These strategies intentionally support the Science and Engineering Practices, giving students opportunities to teach without requiring a separate science block. Teachers will leave with ready-to-use strategies, simple planning tools, and renewed confidence that meaningful science instruction can happen even when time is tight.
