Policy Development Presentation Room XI
This presentation outlines the VERITY project's policy-focused efforts to rebuild public trust in science through inclusive, ethical, and collaborative research practices. Using a systems theory approach, the project identifies key “Stewards of Trust” and examines how trust is built, perceived, and sustained across scientific sectors. Through literature reviews, co-creation workshops, vignette studies, and social media analyses, the project generated actionable recommendations for strengthening integrity, transparency, and equity in research. Emphasizing diversity, benefit-sharing, and inclusive participation, the study proposes ecosystem-wide reforms to promote responsible research environments. These insights aim to empower stakeholders and institutions to develop sustainable, trust-enhancing policies. NOTE: The description was generated from the submitted abstract.
