How can DCTs and training faculty support students to meet the challenges in the ever-changing world of the pandemic, social and health stress, all while continuing their personal and professional growth in practicum and internship? As we adapt to a pandemic and post pandemic world that is more technology driven (with telehealth and remote training) than we could have ever imagined, there is an even great need to stay interpersonally connected to our students and stay attuned to our own values, aspirations, and personal/professional well-being.
Learning Objectives
1. Participants will be able to discuss best practices, obstacles, and challenges in training students in a world reacting to decreased training experiences, remote practice, and pandemic realities.
2. Participants will be able to describe how to connect to students in meaningful ways during times of epic challenges in personal and life and educating our students.
3. Participants will be able to identify ways to connect to their own passion for the profession while navigating personal and professional challenges.
