Breakout Session - Back to the Basics: Learning and Applying the Fundamentals of Mindfulness Practice
Mindfulness can be an elusive concept for many mental health professionals. We have plenty of guided scripts for mindfulness, but we are often taught the script without learning the foundational components.
In this session, participants will learn the six basic building blocks of mindfulness practice so that they can use them and apply them to their own self-care. As a bonus, they can also teach these strategies to their own clients!
- Participants will learn six foundational components essential to practicing mindfulness.
- Participants will learn how to make mindfulness a daily part of their lives to reduce stress and burnout.
- Participants will learn strategies to effectively teach clients how to use mindfulness to reduce stress, anxiety, and depression, which will help improve treatment outcomes.
