During this interactive session, facilitators will model how to incorporate scientific phenomena into classroom instruction. Attendees will experience a three-dimensional approach to science teaching and learning through an investigation of how decomposers play an essential role in the environment. Participants will discuss how the three dimensions from A Framework for K-12 Science Education - Disciplinary Core Ideas (DCI), Science & Engineering Practices (SEP), and Crosscutting Concepts (CCC) - connect to the 2023 K-12 Science Standards.
