In this session, participants will see how I have used books about diverse cultures and people to create my take on Global STEAM. We will look at several books and projects I have done in my classroom and have a chance to create some new ideas with other books. We will focus on making connections to the five main components of STEAM. Participants will work with others in the same grade category to create interactive lessons and activities based on the diverse group of books I will bring. Participants will share their ideas with the group before the session is over. The goal is that they will leave the session with at least 4 different lessons they could do with their students.
