This session will start with an icebreaker: "Can a computer think like you?" We will then share much information about the "AI by 8" initiative, highlighting unplugged AI activities integrated with literacy, targeted to our youngest learners Session 1 (10 mins): Introduce the "Five Big Ideas in AI" (Perception, Representation and Reasoning, Learning, Natural Interaction, Societal Impact). Split participants into small groups to discuss assigned ideas, linking them to early learning. Groups share insights. Session 2 (15 mins): Present the "Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See?" activity. Facilitate brainstorming to connect AI concepts to K-2 literacy. Participants design quick activities linking AI ideas to familiar books and share with the group. Session 3 (10 mins): Address challenges like teacher confidence and resource gaps. Participants brainstorm solutions, informed by strategies like PLCs and peer planning. Wrap-Up (5 mins): Summarize, prompt participants to reflect on next steps, and share resources for further collaboration.
