This is a Community Engagement domain course.
The WebLitLegit workshop empowers participants to experience and facilitate our NNLM funded program to teach teens to obtain reliable, usable health information from the Internet. Our program collaborated with teens, teaching teens how to: 1) Locate reliable health information on the Internet; 2) Evaluate and distinguish reliable from unreliable health information; 3) Effectively use information resources in the context of their own needs or their peers’ to make decisions about their health. Attendees can administer the workshop where teens are and build sustainability by partnering with community, including libraries, schools, Boys and Girls Clubs, museums, and other youth-serving venues.
