In the Fall of 2021, our university was ready for drastic change. Coming out the other side of a cyber-attack, an ongoing pandemic, and several leadership changes, we finally had an opportunity to reconsider if our services still serve us. One such service ready for re-evaluation was our e-reserves program. This presentation will chart our journey from the cyber-attack to COVID to a radical review of our entire service model, ending with the elimination of our e-reserves program. Instead, we opted to proactively educate faculty on how to create course materials that comply with accessibility and copyright standards, increase the library's embedding in the LMS, and open partnerships with our Disability Services and Instructional Design teams. We implemented workshops, digitization support, a new copyright policy, and clear guidelines for faculty to help them feel supported (and get us closer to genuine copyright and ADA compliance).
