Writing clear policy is an essential part of library management and planning. Every institution has a student handbook, often written and overseen by student affairs. This poster presentation will highlight two specific ways a mid-sized university library utilizes existing student conduct policy to inform its library policies and procedures. The first relates to recovering university technology on loan to students. The second addresses the issue of student conduct in library facilities. Collaboration across units in higher education communicates to colleagues and students that working in unison benefits the students and the larger university community.
