Open Source SW is used more and more within automotive  today. How can we better embrace the OSS culture and start benefit from the collaborative mindset in an automotive safety context? How can an alliance or foundation facilitate this and what must an OEM or Tier1 must do to embrace OSS? By utilizing the collaborative OSS mindset, we may even reach a higher level of safety. With this presentation we try to address these questions and suggest some steps going forward.
