This session will narrow the focus on the peer and mental health programs, NCEM Responder Assistance Initiative (RAI) and NC Law Enforcement Assistance Program (NCLEAP), that deployed throughout the Hurricane Helene SERT activation. Attendees will learn about the influence of this experience on the future of prioritizing the mental health and wellness of first responders during blue sky operations, disasters, and post-disaster experiences.
