Subpoena Example
Few things are as intimidating for a mental health professional as receiving a subpoena to testify at an upcoming hearing. But, as with most things in the legal world, knowledge and preparation can make the process far less daunting. This practical presentation will help mental health professionals understand how to recognize the legal requirements of a valid subpoena, respond appropriately, and raise valid objections when necessary. Participants will also learn the important distinction between a subpoena and a court order requiring the production of documents or an appearance, as well as the fundamentals of preparing for and providing testimony in court.
