Meet our "Stars"
Story Musgrave: Retired NASA Astronaut who performed the first shuttle spacewalk on challenger’s first flight. He was the lead communicator in mission control for 25 missions. Today he is a producer/director of multimedia, a landscape architect, a heavy equipment operator, an artist/designer/engineer with Applied Minds Inc. and a Professor of Design at Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, CA.
Al Sacco Jr.: Dean of Edward E. Whitacre Jr. College of Engineering at Texas Tech. He flew as the payload specialist on the Space Shuttle Columbia on shuttle mission STS-73 in 1995. He has received numerous awards including four honorary doctorates (two in science, two in engineering), and was awarded the Nation's Space Flight Metal in 1995. In 2010 he received the 2010 Distinguished Chemist Award given by the New England Institute of Chemists, and in 2015 received the AIChE's 2015 Fuels and Petroleum Division Outstanding lifetime Achievement Award.
Ginger Kerrick: Ginger is currently serving as a Board of Regents for the Texas Tech Systems. She is the Flight Integration Division Chief for NASA, Johnson Space Center. She served as NASA's first Russian Training Integration instructor in 199 providing support to the first crew that would live onboard on the ISS.
Bernard Harris: Dr. Harris was at NASA for ten years, where he conducted research in musculoskeletal physiology and clinical investigations of space adaptation and developed in-flight medical devices to extend Astronaut stays in space. A veteran astronaut for over twenty years, he has logged more than 438 hours and traveled over 7.2 million miles in space.
