Resilience planning is a framework of defining risks, assessing vulnerabilities, and developing strategies to better prepare for and mitigate stresses, and recover from shocks like the recent COVID-19 epidemic. In this 60-minute interactive session, participants will learn the fundamentals of resilience planning and will identify specific barriers to health and opportunity for aging LGBT+ individuals in the Dayton and Midwestern community. Participants will then practice resilience-building techniques and will collaborate to develop a resilient and supportive infrastructure of businesses, resources, and individuals. Participants will leave the session with a framework to enhance resilience for greater connectedness and disaster preparedness.
