This program is an inclusive LGBTQ+ Training designed to educate participants on essential aspects of LGBTQ+ identity and allyship. It covers standard terms and concepts within the LGBTQ+ community, helping participants build a foundational understanding of the diverse identities and experiences within the community. The training also delves into the coming out process, providing insights into the challenges and experiences LGBTQ+ individuals may face. Finally, it offers practical guidance on how to be authentic allies, equipping participants with the tools to support and advocate for the LGBTQ+ community in meaningful ways. Participants will be provided with commonly used terminology to enhance their understanding of the LGBTQ+ community, allowing them to communicate more effectively and respectfully. In addition, we will give participants a comprehensive list of actionable steps to be allies to LGBTQ+ youth, both within and outside educational settings. These steps will include practical strategies for creating inclusive environments, supporting LGBTQ+ youth during the coming out process, and advocating for LGBTQ+ rights in their communities. By incorporating these tools into their daily practice, participants will be empowered to improve outcomes for LGBTQ+ youth, fostering a more supportive and inclusive society.
