Independent Bookstore Day has grown into a powerful opportunity for indie bookstores to join forces and create large-scale, collaborative events like book crawls and bookstore tours. But these partnerships aren’t just limited to one day a year, many stores are working together year round to strengthen their communities and boost business. In this session, representatives from the Chicago Bookstore Crawl, the Indianapolis Bookstore Tour, the Michigan Book Hop, the Iowa Bookstore Tour and more will share how they organize their events, why they work, and what they've learned. Attendees will leave with ideas, inspiration, and practical strategies to launch or grow collaborative events in their own regions.
