High-performing clinicians do not automatically become effective supervisors. Many EMS agencies promote based on clinical excellence, longevity, or availability, then attempt ot teach leadership after the title has already been granted. This reactive model creates stress for the new supervisor and poses a risk to the organization. This session introduces a proactive alternative: developing supervisory readiness while clinicians are still in their line roles.
