In February 2019, the Milwaukee Police Department conducted a high risk search warrant for narcotics and illegal firearms sales. While executing the warrant, their tactical breacher, Matthew Rittner was struck by rounds at the breach point.

Trevor D. DeBoer – Milwaukee Police Department Tactical Enforcement Unit Trevor began his career with the U.S. Army. He started as an Airborne Ranger with 1st Ranger Battalion. From Ranger Battalion he began a long career in Special Forces as a Green Beret. Trevor transferred out of active duty and moved closer to his hometown with 20th Special Forces Group. He deployed several times to Afghanistan, Europe, South and Central America and Lebanon. Trevor was awarded 3 Bronze Stars, the Combat Infantry Badge, 3 Army Commendation Medals and fully tabbed as SF, Ranger, Airborne. Trevor retired with 29 plus years in 2021.
While in SF, Trevor began his full-time career in 1998 with the Milwaukee Police Department. He spent 26 years with Milwaukee and 17 of those with their full time SWAT team. Trevor retired as a Sergeant, Team Leader in May of 2024 with multiple decorations. Trevor operated as a breacher, sniper, rappel master, shield operator, maritime operator, firearms instructor and TECC instructor. Trevor currently teaches tactics and criminal justice at WCTC, works as a security supervisor with the Milwaukee Brewers and executive protection with a local security agency. Trevor and his wife currently operate a tactical and firearms training and supply center in Hartland, Wisconsin called Hyde Syte Tactics.
