Warriors Carry Shields Armourer's Choice 16 hour course Instructor BIO ​ Christopher “Gio” Giolitti, served the law enforcement community for over 30 years with roughly 23 years as a SWAT Operator, Team Leader, and Tactical Commander at two busy metropolitan police agencies. Gio was fortunate enough to be recommended to receive one of the department’s greatest honors, Letter of Valor as well as two Commendations for Bravery, and nearly two dozen Meritorious Service Citations throughout his career. As President of the Michigan Tactical Officers Association, he has given over 20 years to the organization as an executive board member and instructor for the association’s Mobile Training Unit. He has presented firearms and tactics courses throughout the country for various state associations and served past cadres, including Triple Canopy and Essential Tactical Advantage. Gio is also a judge for two of the largest SWAT competitions in the world, SWAT Round-UP International and the Connecticut SWAT Challenge. He has been blessed with the opportunity to work and train with some of the most respected law enforcement and military professionals in the world. As the Director of Training for Armourer’s Choice, Gio is dedicated to supporting the organization’s mission statement and is committed to continuing to serve our community by providing safeguards to help keep operators and first responders protected. ​ Course description: ​Instructors will be trained to deploy the shields with great mobility, flexibility, and accuracy without risk of malfunctions to the weapon system. Instructors will learn to adjust and deploy the shield in any environment and defeat threats without hesitation and with conviction. Instructors will learn how to fix malfunctions with both hands and fight in an offensive mode with both weapon systems (RIFLE and SIDE ARM) incorporating Standing, Kneeling, Prone, and Movement drills. There will be an added focus on the employment options of the Eagle's Perch, commonly referred to as the "EP-40", a mobile officer safety barricade system offering unmatched shield mobility and deployment options. Student equipment: Students are encouraged to bring shields from their perspective agency.
