Course description:
Armored vehicles in general have been in existence for more than a century and used extensively by military units and security forces worldwide. Since this time, Law Enforcement Agencies have seen the vast lifesaving potential for the usage of armored vehicles in everyday emergency response and applications. There are both civilian armored vehicles and military style vehicles in use today around the globe by law enforcement agencies. Programs have been designed to demilitarize certain military vehicles and reappropriate them for use with law enforcement agencies and tactical/rescue response teams. We have taken away the militarized combat applications and now use these vehicles to conduct emergency response missions, search and rescue missions, and lastly deploy these life-saving tools when responding to natural or man-made disasters/incidents.
