Gil Narvaez has an extensive training background in martial arts and a passion for performance shooting. Gil is a former Marine and career law enforcement officer, with over 27 years of experience. He has retired from the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department (NC) in 2022, at the rank of Lieutenant, where he was a North Carolina Justice Academy state certified Law Enforcement Firearms and Subject Control Arrest Techniques Instructor. He is currently serving as a reserve officer with Mecklenburg County Alcohol Beverage Control Law Enforcement. An avid practitioner of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (grappling art), Muay Thai (striking art), and competitive shooting, he incorporates these disciplines into tailored personal protection and firearms instruction for our clients. Gil is very friendly and approachable, always willing to help new or experienced shooters alike.

Course description:
Pistol-Performance Under Pressure will provide participants with a roadmap to developing the foundational skills needed to perform successfully under adverse conditions. You will also explore ways to incorporate lessons learned and skill building exercises into your own training program.
Practical shooting is a phenomenal way for the armed protector to test and develop their marksmanship skill set. As always during our courses, we will relate the skill building directly to the goal of efficiently utilizing those skills for personal protection purposes.
As a prerequisite of this course, participants will be expected to handle firearms responsibly, under stress and in the presence of others in and around the shooting area. Please contact us with any questions prior to registering.
