Matt Harden is a dedicated and professional trainer specializing in law enforcement and military personnel- having taught for organizations such as CNOA, MSSTC, and CRPOA. As the owner and lead instructor of OpTempo Training Group, he has trained hundreds of law enforcement and military personnel across multiple states, sharing expertise developed through years of operational experience. With a distinguished career spanning law enforcement and military service, Matt has served as a SWAT sniper and team leader, a firearms program supervisor, and a plainclothes narcotics detective. His international experience includes training with police forces in Israel, Austria, and the Netherlands. A former United States Marine Corps Infantry Squad Leader (1993–2004), Matt led a squad during the invasion of Iraq in Operation Iraqi Freedom, trained Chilean Marines during a South American deployment, and mentored and evaluated infantry squads with unwavering precision. His expertise and leadership continue to shape the next generation of tactical professionals.
Course description:
This intensive one-day training is designed to seamlessly integrate law enforcement UAS pilots with tactical teams, enhancing operational efficiency and effectiveness. This class is for both Pilots who want to learn how to work better with their officers doing the clearing and officers who want to integrate drones into their clearing procedures. Participants will develop advanced skills for deploying UAS technology in both exterior and indoor environments, addressing critical gaps in law enforcement training.
Student equipment:
If you are already a pilot, please bring your UAS setup with multiple batteries and charging equipment.
Everyone will need to bring a red gun/SIM gun, notebook as pilots will also be clearing the structures when not flying. You're welcome to bring operational kit to train in, but not required.
