This class will explain the basic outline of call procedures when someone reaches NSPL/988 and the circumstances in which a call handler would reach out to 911 on behalf of the caller. The class will explain different scenarios in which a call handler would reach out to 911 on behalf of the caller voluntarily. The class will also explain the criteria which would be met in order for a call handler to reach out to 911 for a caller involuntarily. The goal of the class is that 911 dispatch will have a greater understanding of the scenarios that would lead to an NSPL/988 call being connected to 911 and answer questions on how we can best work together to keep community members safe.
