With the summer months just around the corner, many students will transition into the workforce. Workplace safety is everyone’s responsibility when it comes to protecting Oklahoma’s youngest workers. This presentation will overview the youth employment laws and young worker safety. Youth employment topics to be covered will include the legal age of employment, work permit process, hours and times standards, breaks, and permitted/prohibited occupations. Safety tips for students, parents, and employers will also be provided.
