The session at the People’s Forum will engage parents, families and caretakers to join the call to endorse the Fossil Fuel Nonproliferation Treaty.
Campaigning to #EndFossilFuels is essential for many communities around the world because
the need for a just transition particularly after the pandemic is still ignored or even blocked by many authorities.
Amplifying local and national fights within the global climate parent community and promoting the Fossil Treaty letter that unites the parents' voice can be a strong force to push political leaders to accelerate the speed to end the fossil fuel era.
The session will introduce different parent voices and different stories that highlight some of the
climate parents actions done in Latin America, Asia, Africa, Australia in
Europe and worldwide to protect children from the damages done by the ongoing exploitation and burning of fossil fuels.
The necessity for swift and courageous action on all levels of society can be discussed in an exchange between the panelists and the audience.
Parents from the frontlines in India, Colombia, Nigeria and the Ukraine will be part of the panel and in direct exchange with the the audience difficult questions and emotions around parenting in the age of multiple crises can be addressed and explored.
