(128) How We Gained More Time in IT by Moving Our Servers to the Cloud and Our Help Desk to Managed Services (1 Time Only)
By moving our servers to an Infrastructure as a Service platform, and our IT Helpdesk to managed services, Vesco Oil was able to free up valuable resources to focus its IT department on IT Operations and future growth. We no longer have to deal with the day to day IT helpdesk issues that hinder the IT department from providing new solutions and strategic planning for the future. In order for Vesco Oil to cover all of the areas of IT that needed to be maintained on a helpdesk/server management level, it would have required hiring at least 4 to 5 staff members. By taking these salaries, and investing in managed services, the company is able to save significantly and cover more areas of IT than it thought possible.
