Presents the use of ceremony and traditional tools like the Mother Drum as culturally rooted interventions in gambling treatment. Learning Objectives: At the end of this presentation, audience members will be able to: 1) Understand how the mother drum builds community and belonging; resiliency factors in mental health treatment. 2) Learn the parts of the drum and their cultural significance. 3) Learn trauma release protocols and have a unique personal cultural immersion experience at the drum with a Cherokee elder.
