Many areas of government are striving to become more data driven, but there are many practical barriers to using data in your daily work. From software issues to getting access to the right information, “using your data” is easier said than done. This workshop will lead you through an assessment of your current pretrial data system, your data needs, and how to better integrate your data systems with other government agencies. The workshop will begin with a short overview of pretrial performance measurement best practices. After the presentation, you will have the opportunity to discuss details of your systems: what software do you use? What data are easy to see? What data do you wish you could see? After the discussion, participants will collaborate to create actionable next steps to work toward identified data goals.
