Aligning the Industry through a New Public-Private Partnership for Traceability
Earlier this year a public-private Governing Body was launched to provide an independent, sector-neutral forum to align industry in a shared vision for the enhanced food traceability required by the Traceability Rule (FSMA 204)
In a joint effort to provide an independent, sector-neutral forum for aligning industry in a shared vision for the enhanced food traceability required by the Traceability Rule (FSMA 204), Leavitt Partners and The Acheson Group (TAG) launched the concept of a public-private governing body in early 2024 that would bring together peers, regulators, and technology vendors. With the intent to develop an independent, balanced, sector-neutral governance body and to establish an effective and efficient implementation plan, it will provide a forum for cooperation, coordination, and interconnection among industry stakeholders. With just over a year until compliance with the Traceability Rule (FSMA 204) becomes mandatory, it is critical that industry come together in a cohesive action to make full supply-chain traceability a reality. Join us in this panel discussion which will provide an update on the status of the governing body, why there is a need for an overarching blueprint to drive food traceability processes and standards, the value in identifying a shared industry infrastructure for food traceability – and how you can become involved.
