Over 25 years of NIH-funded research have been translated into procedures practitioners can implement for diagnosing Dysgraphia (impaired handwriting), Dyslexia (impaired word reading and spelling), and Oral and Written Language Learning Disability (OWL LD) (impaired listening comprehension, oral expression, reading comprehension, and/or written expression). Although there are biological bases (genetic and brain) for each of these SLDs, there are effective educational interventions for them that will be explained.
