The Canadian cannabis industry is often looked to as setting the standards for Cannabis production outside of Europe. Commercial production standards in Canada are governed by Good Production Practices (GPP) and as various jurisdictions look to Canada as to what constitutes GPP, it is important to understand that GPP has dramatically evolved over time. Building design, construction materials, and utilities are no exception. This presentation will share key insights into planning cannabis infrastructure taken from the Canadian experience as the federal framework strives to ensure that a safe product is being produced. Understanding those key insights can avoid costly refurbishing and inspection risk.
