Cultural and Historical Tour - Recoleta Neighborhood and Cemetery
Enjoy our private guided walking tour through the posh Recoleta neighborhood, which oozes with timeless grandeur, followed by a journey through the historical adjacent cemetery, the final resting place of Eva Perón.
3:00 PM - 5:30 PMMon
The neighborhood of Recoleta, rich in architectural and cultural history, forms an important part of the city’s tourism trail. When the Prince of Wales visited in 1925, a special commemorative pamphlet described the area as “aristocratic, polished, artistic and magnificently beautiful”. Even today, with hotels, towers, shopping centers and weekend crowds nudging their way between the old palaces and pathways, the neighborhood retains a civic grandeur and European orderliness which is rare elsewhere in the city. It is the home to the famous Recoleta Cemetery, where the country’s founding fathers and patrician families lie in style, including Eva Perón.
