Beef Quality Assurance (BQA) is a nationally coordinated, state-implemented program in the United States that ensures cattle are raised under optimal management conditions, with a focus on animal welfare and food safety to produce high-quality, wholesome beef. The program provides science-based guidelines for proper cattle handling, nutrition, and treatment. In this session, you will become certified to teach BQA to students in your classroom while learning about the most recent beef quality audit, the beef cattle industry, and BQA guidelines. You will also have the opportunity to participate in hands-on, engaging activities that can be used in your classroom to help students learn and apply BQA principles.
