Hosted by the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction (NCDPI) Office for Exceptional Children, this culminating session of Best Practices for Modified Blueprints will provide targeted guidance on supporting students participating in the Occupational Course of Study (OCS) and those instructed using the Extend Content Standards (ECS). Participants will deepen their understanding of instructional expectations, program structures, and student needs within OCS and ECS pathways. The session will also focus on practical strategies for effective collaboration and communication with OCS and ECS teachers in local high schools, ensuring alignment, consistency, and shared ownership of student success. Attendees will leave equipped with actionable tools and approaches to strengthen cross-team partnerships and improve outcomes for students with significant cognitive disabilities and those pursuing career-focused instructional pathways.
