Journey through the development of Career Awareness Programming for 5th-grade students in a Rural County. Starting with the discovery of the current programming in the elementary schools, then building on the current programs by engaging with the local community college, career development coordinator, community agencies, and the College for NC regional representative to promote 5th-grade students’ awareness of post-secondary opportunities. Importantly, let's focus on not overlooking the training and education of the Student Support Personnel to increase their knowledge of available resources both in the community and online.
