This session will discuss dementia and the effects it has on an individual’s body along with the impact of conducting normal activities of daily living, helping your team to focus on a person-centered care approach, ensuring the best outcomes for your patients. Participants will learn about parts of the brain affected by Dementia and Alzheimer’s disease, why such declines happen, and approaches to managing personal care that could be helpful in a long term care setting.
