Autonomous mowing technology continues to create new opportunities for professional landscape contractors. This session will provide a contractor’s perspective on incorporating autonomous mowers into commercial and residential landscape-maintenance operations. Drawing from D.W. Burr’s field experience, Tyler Burr will discuss how to evaluate properties for autonomous mowing, determine appropriate equipment placement and boundaries, and integrate the technology into existing turf-maintenance programs. The session will also address equipment monitoring, weather and site conditions, safety considerations, client expectations, and how to clearly communicate the benefits and limitations of autonomous mowing technology.
