Students often enter PreK–2 classrooms with limited exposure to rich language experiences, making the demands of the Science of Reading and mCLASS benchmarks even more challenging to meet. Educators are tasked with closing foundational skill gaps while also maintaining high levels of engagement and developmentally appropriate instruction. Interactive Word Zones were designed in response to this reality—transforming literacy instruction into structured, research-based, and highly engaging experiences that meet students where they are. By embedding explicit phonics, phonemic awareness, and vocabulary development into interactive learning spaces, schools will see not only increased student engagement, but measurable growth in mCLASS/DIBELS outcomes—proving that with the right systems and supports, all students can achieve at high levels regardless of starting point.This pre-recorded session will be designed to actively engage participants through a combination of visuals, modeling, and guided reflection. Although asynchronous, the presentation will simulate an interactive experience by walking participants through the practical implementation of Interactive Word Zones in real classroom settings
