This program will present essential knowledge and tools for navigating the complexities of providing therapy in the context of family law cases. In this session we will explore the appropriate role and boundaries of court-involved therapists, best practices for ethically sound and effective interventions, and the importance of collaboration of legal professionals such as attorneys and judges. The program will also address new and emerging legislation related to reunification therapy, including recent laws that affect how such services are ordered, delivered, and regulated. By the end of the session, participants will be better equipped to navigate the challenges of court-involved therapy while maintaining a child-centered approach. Learning Objectives 1.
