The COVESA Connected Vehicle Emergency Dataset (CVED) Demo will demonstrate how an airbag deployment can create a shared, standards-based emergency incident and deliver a minimum, low-latency data payload to a Real-Time Intelligence Center or 9-1-1 system. The demonstration will show how CVED can provide the common incident structure needed to coordinate vehicle, roadway, emergency communications, Drone First Responder, EMS, and hospital systems supporting a continuous digital response from the moment of impact through trauma-system activation.
The demo will also explore how COVESA Verifiable Credentials can enrich the incident with trusted driver, vehicle, medical-alert, and proof-of-insurance references without delaying the emergency notification. Using selective disclosure, authorization, and consent, approved responders could retrieve only the information permitted for their role and purpose, while a separate post-emergency workflow could support First Notice of Loss. Attendees will see a practical framework for developing reusable COVESA schemas, trust models, and implementation guidance for validation through the USDOT SS4A Demonstration Projects in California and Texas.
