Generative AI is rapidly moving into automotive engineering—from requirements and architecture to software development, testing, safety and compliance—but today’s tools, data and AI agents largely remain siloed. This interactive workshop will bring together several real-world implementation perspectives to examine both what is possible today and the common challenges emerging across them. The group will explore where open approaches to agent/tool interoperability, automotive context and data, traceability, trust and human authority could create shared industry value. The session will conclude with an audience working discussion to identify and prioritize areas where COVESA can uniquely contribute, with the goal of translating the discussion into concrete follow-up activities and reference implementations within the GenAI Working Group.
