This course will focus on the specific cultural, communication and cross border legal and tax considerations that practitioners, trustees and other professional services providers will encounter while working with HNW and UHNW Mexican families. The course will also look at some of the basic planning structures and strategies and analyze their implications from both a US and Mexican tax perspective.
Learning Objectives:
At the end of the course, the attendees will be able to:
1. Identify some of the non- tax issues that are important to know and consider when working with a HNW and UHNW Mexican family, including those related to culture and communication.
2. Understand the various tax and succession related issues that a HNW and UHNW Mexican family faces both from a US and Mexican tax perspective.
3. Know the basic estate and tax planning structures and strategies that practitioners in Mexico and the US use when dealing with HNW and UHNW Mexican clients.
